Knitters, embroiderers, fashion designers, hackers, tinkerers, musicians, techies, hobbyists, women, men, children and others…, Claire Williams invites you to an Electro Textile workshop.
Textiles and electronics associated to experiment in a playful and practical way using textile techniques to create soft electronic components. We can knit an antenna, crochet a resistor, make a touch pad with knitted patterns or use basket weaving and embroidery to create a speaker. We will explore how electronic textiles become elements that we can manipulate to trigger, distort or sensor sound.
